Ved Prakash Goyal (1926 – December 17, 2008) was an Indian politician and the Union Minister of shipping in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in India from 2001-2003. He was the treasurer of Bharatiya Janata Party for a long time. He was a member of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India.

He was born in 1926 in Karnal in Haryana and passed B.Sc. (Engg.). He was educated at Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Lahore and at Banaras Hindu University.[1]
He was a praharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for some time in Uttar Pradesh after completing his studies.
He took great efforts to set up the Malaviya Mission, an alumni association of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) established to probagate the vision and mission of Madan Mohan Malaviya the founder of BHU.
He was a former Chairman of Pradeep Metals Ltd., Mumbai and has been associated with numerous socio-cultural organisations like Janakalyan Sahakari Bank Ltd., Mumbai, Maharashtra State Financial Corporation, Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad etc.
His wife Chandrakanta Goyal has been a Member of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha for three terms.
He was a very soft spoken and humble person and consciously kept a low-profile always in spite of his close relations with Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani among others.
His home in Sion, Mumbai was the permanent residence of Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar whenever he visited Mumbai from the 1950s till his death in 1973.
He died from complications of brain tumor at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on December 17, 2008.[2]
His son is also active in Mumbai politics.
